This company offers many options in addition to the online speed reading course, including workshops, live webinars, email and telephone support and progress tracking to interact with you on a regular basis and keep you on track to reach your goals.
This speed reading course is available for $199 and you can get an additional $50 off for signing up for the newsletter. You have 90 days to complete the course, which takes approximately 5 hours. If you need additional time to complete the course you can purchase an extension. The course materials include a downloadable ebook, learning modules, podcasts, and webinars. A couple of the perks include the fact that it is very user friendly and there is no speed reading software to lug around because everything is contained online, available at any computer with an internet connection. Another highly rated speed reading course is the one offered by Rocket Reader for $139. They offer quite a variety of innovative exercises and tests to keep you interested and entertained while learning how to speed read. The modules offer many different skills training exercises, but each does not build on the previous. You can select any module that you would like to work on in any order that you like. This can be an added benefit to some because you can target specific areas, however the ease of use is not as highly rated as Rev It Up Reading because it is not as linear.
Iris is a company located across the US that offers live and online courses in speed reading. “Reading at the Speed of Thought.” The live courses are currently at a price of $199 and they include 6 hours of classroom instruction, access to an online resource called AceReader, an ebook and other course materials. The course is said to improve reading speed by 200% – 500% and boost reading comprehension. The topics include speed reading techniques, strategies, and fundamental concepts.
As an alternative, Iris offers speed reading courses online for only $99 that can be completed from the comfort of your home. There are two options for speed reading courses, including a foundation course and a mastery course. The foundation course has the tools to get you started on your speed reading journey and the mastery course will propel you into better comprehension of general and more technical material.
Evelyn Wood Reading Dynamics is an excellent speed reading resource, it’s the “World Famous Speed Reading Program.” This resource offers one day seminars for traditional speed reading and one specifically for executives and legal professionals. The traditional speed reading seminar is $99 and it covers the fundamentals of speed reading, plus the following topics: note taking, study and listening skills, improved memory and recall, improved reading comprehension, and report and presentation techniques. Additionally, they have a couple of DVD or CD courses with workbooks that are about $200 or if you are really serious about speed reading and want to go all out, the “complete system” is going to cost you around $700.
