|iPhone, iPad, iOS. Who knows what’s next, but who cares? There are already 187 million iDevices out there, more than 300,000 apps (dozens making $1,000,000+ in revenue), and all the while people are screaming for more! You understand that this skill set is absolutely critical, but don’t know how to obtain it.|
Coding may seem daunting, like some wild black magic that only the select few super engineers that majored in Computer Science understand. It may seem hard to get started. Where do I go? Do I buy a book? But what if I have questions or get stuck? Why do I have to learn all this computer science theory – I just want to build an application!
Have no fear. Bess Ho is here.
Learn to Build iPhone & iPad Applications in 4 Weeks by Bess Ho: 60+ lectures, including: 17 videos, source codes, and hands-on exercises for each section.
I, Gagan Biyani, co-founder of Udemy, had the pleasure of watching Bess Ho teach a class one day. She had 40 students at the 500 Startups headquarters in Mountain View, CA, and the class was titled “How to build an iPhone Application.” The class was just 6 hours long. I came in thinking “WTF?!” – these guys and girls must be programmers, right? I mean they went to school and learned things like string theory and machine learning?
I fell asleep, tired from a long night and expecting the worst. Bess had the class whip out their laptops and a short 6 hours (with 2 hours for lunch/break) later, Bess called out “OK, who wants to demo their application?” I awoke and looked up. The business executives, consultants, and marketers in the room went up one by one. They showed their iPhone applications on-screen. They worked!
Yes, in just 6 hours, you can learn to create an iPhone app even if you have no programming experience. Check out Bess Ho’s class in this week’s “Course of the Week” to learn how.
Topics covered in the course, include:
Also don’t worry about having questions….as current students will attest, Bess Ho personally answers all questions in the comments or course discussion board.
P.S. The online version of the course is actually even more in-depth than her in-person workshop. You can also start and stop the videos as you write real code for a real iPhone application. She sends you downloadable sample code and much, much more!
